Senator Tom Carper (D-Del.) released the below statement following the news of the Justice Department reaching an agreement with Hunter Biden after a five-year investigation:
“An independent and thorough investigation has been conducted over the last five years by a credible Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney, free from political interference. That is how the rule of law works. Hunter Biden is a private citizen and I am encouraged that he is taking responsibility for his actions.”
