Nighttime lane restrictions will be implemented on northbound Route 72 (Library Avenue) at Wyoming Road in Newark next week. The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced that these closures will occur to facilitate the installation of two fisheye cameras on existing signal poles. The work is scheduled from 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25th, until 5:00 a.m. the following Wednesday.

This project aims to enhance DelDOT’s capacity to test and develop technology for detecting vulnerable road users. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and anticipate minor delays in the area during this period.

For further details, individuals can visit the DelDOT website at www.deldot.gov, download the DelDOT app, or listen to WTMC at 1380 AM.
