The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced a temporary closure of the intersection at South Street and West Street in Camden. This closure is scheduled from Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to Friday, February 27, 2026. The closure is part of the ongoing West Camden Bypass project, which aims to relocate utilities and install stormwater drainage systems.

During this period, motorists on the east side who need to travel west should head east on South Street and turn left onto S. Main Street. They should then continue on S Main Street to Camden Wyoming Avenue and make another left. Conversely, those on the west side wishing to travel east should drive west on South Street and turn right onto S Caesar Rodney Ave, proceeding to Camden Wyoming Avenue for a right turn.

Drivers are advised to reduce speed in work zones and anticipate minor delays in the area. For further details, visit DelDOT’s website at www.deldot.gov or tune into WTMC-AM 1380.
