The Delaware Department of Agriculture is encouraging farmers and producers to complete the United States Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Survey when it arrives by mail or email.

The department said the survey is important because the information collected helps shape decisions at local, state, and federal levels that affect agriculture. These decisions include farm programs, disaster assistance, research funding, and market data.

“This survey matters because the information you share helps shape local, state, and federal decisions that directly impact agriculture – everything from farm programs and disaster assistance to research funding and market data,” the Delaware Department of Agriculture said. “Your responses are confidential, and every completed survey strengthens the picture of agriculture in our state. Please take a few minutes to complete it – it’s one of the simplest ways to make sure your operation counts.”

Farmers with questions or seeking additional details are directed to contact nivia.brown@usda.gov. Survey materials can be accessed at https://portal.agcounts.usda.gov/.
