On Feb. 13, the Delaware Department of Transportation announced upcoming daytime multi-lane closures on northbound Interstate 95 for a bridge inspection. The closure will take place on Tuesday, February 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting the stretch of I-95 from the Route 896 interchange to the Welcome Center.

The department said these closures are necessary to facilitate a scheduled bridge inspection in the area. According to the announcement, there will be no impacts on Route 896 or Route 72 during this period.

Motorists traveling through New Castle County are advised to plan accordingly and expect delays in the affected section of I-95. The department encourages drivers to stay informed about project updates and additional information by visiting the official project website at 95896improvements.com.
