The Delaware Department of Transportation announced the start of a two-year project on the bridge over the railroad tracks on Limestone Road between Kirkwood Highway and Route 4 in Stanton. The work is scheduled to begin next Monday, February 23.

The project will include rehabilitation work on the bridge, roadway milling and paving, as well as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and curb reconstruction. A contraflow configuration will be implemented on Limestone Road for the duration of the project.

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays in the area during construction. For more information, residents can visit the DelDOT website or download the DelDOT app.

According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, these improvements are part of ongoing efforts to maintain infrastructure and ensure road safety for all users.
