The University of Delaware men’s basketball program announced on April 25 the addition of transfer Devin Dinkins to its 2026-27 roster. Head coach Martin Ingelsby said that Dinkins, who spent the last two seasons at Manhattan, will join the Fightin’ Blue Hens for the upcoming season.

Dinkins brings several years of college basketball experience to Delaware. Ingelsby said, “We are eager to welcome Devin to our Blue Hen basketball family. He brings three years of college experience and will be a key piece in what we do this season. Welcome to the 302, Devin!”

Standing at 5-foot-10 and hailing from Washington D.C., Dinkins has played in 94 games with five starts during his collegiate career. He averages 9.6 points per game while shooting 39.1 percent from the field, including nearly 38 percent from three-point range and almost 88 percent from the free throw line.

During the 2024-25 season at Manhattan, Dinkins was named MAAC Sixth Player of the Year after averaging over thirty minutes per game across thirty-one matchups and scoring an average of 13.6 points per contest with improved shooting percentages. He was also selected for the Preseason All-MAAC First Team before missing last season.

Before transferring to Manhattan, Dinkins attended George Mason University where he played in his freshman year with four starts out of thirty-one appearances. In high school at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C., he led his team in both points and assists as a senior and earned several honors including Washington Post All-Met First Team recognition.
