The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures and shifts on major roads in New Castle County. These changes are part of ongoing bridge and parapet work.

On Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12, there will be an overnight lane shift and shoulder closure on the southbound I-95 off-ramp to northbound Route 896. This will occur between 11 PM and 7 AM.

Additionally, on Wednesday, November 12, and Thursday, November 13, a daytime right turn lane closure is scheduled from eastbound Welsh Tract Road onto southbound Route 896. This closure will be in effect from 8 AM to 4 PM; however, right turns can still be made from the through lane.

For Route 72, overnight lane closures are planned for both northbound and southbound directions between Bellevue Road and Old Baltimore Pike. These closures are set for Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12 (if necessary), from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly due to these temporary changes.
