DelDOT announces construction of multi-use path on Route 4 in New Castle County

The Delaware Department of Transportation announced the start of construction on a multi-use path along Route 4 through the Route 273 interchange and bike and pedestrian crossing improvements at Augusta Drive, according to a statement released March 29.

Construction is scheduled to begin next Monday, April 6, and is expected to be completed by fall 2026. The project aims to enhance accessibility for both cyclists and pedestrians in the area.

Motorists traveling through this section of New Castle County are advised to use caution and anticipate minor delays during the construction period. DelDOT recommends that drivers plan accordingly as work progresses.
