The Delaware Department of Transportation announced on April 6 that the Delaware Car Railroad forces will be performing general maintenance at the railroad crossing on E. 4th Street, requiring intermittent lane closures in the area.

According to the department, work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 am next Monday and is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm on Thursday, April 9. This maintenance marks the first phase of work at this crossing, with a second phase planned for late summer or early fall of this year.

Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays while traveling through the affected area during this period. The department recommends checking their website or downloading the DelDOT app for more information.

Additional details about these traffic restrictions and future updates can be found according to the official roster page.
