The Delaware Department of Transportation announced on April 27 that motorists will encounter lane closures for hazardous tree removal on Route 48 (Lancaster Pike) between Centerville Road and Route 41. The work is scheduled from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Wednesday, April 29.

In addition to the work on Route 48, two trees will be removed on southbound Route 41 just north of Brackenville Road. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays in the area during these times.

The department said that these measures are necessary to address hazardous trees along the affected routes. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert and plan for possible traffic disruptions while crews complete the work.

For more information about the project or updates, motorists can visit the DelDOT website at www.deldot.gov or download the DelDOT app. Additional details can be found in the organization’s press release.
