The Delaware Department of Transportation announced on March 23 that general maintenance will take place at the railroad crossing on Wilmington Avenue (Route 9), requiring intermittent lane closures.

The work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 am and is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm on Friday, April 3. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays in the area during this period.

According to the department, the maintenance will affect traffic flow as lanes may be closed intermittently while crews work at the crossing. The announcement urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain alert for changing traffic patterns.

For additional information about the project or updates, motorists can visit the DelDOT website or download the DelDOT app. Further details are available according to the official roster page.
