DelDOT announces overnight ramp closure for paving on Rt 896 in April 2026

The Delaware Department of Transportation announced that the southbound Route 896 ramp to northbound Interstate 95 will be closed overnight on April 20, 2026, for paving work.

According to the department, the closure is necessary to facilitate milling and paving work on southbound Route 896 near the ramp entrance. The work is scheduled to take place overnight and is weather permitting. Detours will be posted for drivers affected by the closure.

The department said that all scheduled activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs during the closure period.
