Denise Nelson Nash, vice president and secretary of the Board of Trustees at Scripps College, announced on May 6 that she has co-authored a new book titled Trinity of Leadership: Learners, Thinkers, Tinkerers. The book was published by Akers & Follet, a company founded by Nash and her co-author Trisha Beck.

The authors draw from their combined six careers to explore the idea that leadership is rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and experimentation rather than formal credentials. The work aims to offer readers a perspective on how to approach leadership in times of uncertainty.

“Trinity of Leadership is not a checklist or a formula,” Nelson Nash said. “It’s an invitation to stay curious, to think deeply, and to keep learning, especially in times of uncertainty.”

Nash and Beck will present concepts from their book at two upcoming public events: one at the San Marino Public Library on May 29 and another at the Pasadena Public Library on May 30. Both events are free for attendees. The Pasadena event is part of the library’s “Authors and Their Journeys” series.

The authors encourage community members interested in modern approaches to leadership to attend these presentations.
