Inovonics announced on May 4 the launch of a new three-condition duress card designed to improve safety protection for caregivers in senior living communities.

The new device allows users to discreetly activate up to three different alarm conditions, which helps responders quickly choose the most appropriate action in an emergency. This feature aims to provide enhanced security and peace of mind for staff working in environments such as independent living facilities, assisted living communities, and continuing care retirement communities.

According to Inovonics, the duress card includes activation affirmation indicators like LEDs and haptic vibration. These features silently alert the wearer that an alarm button has been pressed without drawing attention from others nearby. The device uses Inovonics’ proven 900MHz wireless technology, which is intended to ensure reliable operation and extended range within large or multi-story buildings.

Additional capabilities include location and real-time tracking functions that help responders pinpoint where an event is occurring—down to a specific floor or room—improving response times during critical situations. The duress card also features a waterproof casing so it can be worn in various environments where exposure to water or moisture may occur. Its sealed long-life battery is designed for continuous operation when needed most.

The introduction of this product reflects ongoing efforts by technology providers like Inovonics to address safety challenges faced by caregivers in senior living settings.
