Porter Road closure planned for railroad maintenance in New Castle County

Porter Road in New Castle County will be closed for railroad maintenance, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT). The closure will occur just north of the Old Porter Road intersection. Work is scheduled to begin on June 17 at 5:00 am and continue around the clock until June 19 at 10:00 pm.

“Message boards are in place and a detour will be posted,” DelDOT said. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays in the area.
