Quantum Health announced on May 7 a series of expanded capabilities aimed at helping employers reduce healthcare costs. The announcement was made during the company’s sold-out Connect conference, where Quantum Health highlighted new approaches in pharmacy cost reduction, virtual primary care, built-in Centers of Excellence, and enhanced analytics.

The company said these advancements address the urgent challenge employers face in reducing total cost of care while improving outcomes and member experience. Saurabh Kumar, Chief Financial Officer at Quantum Health, said, “From pharmacy to advanced therapies to specialty care, employers are seeing costs rise across every front. In our conversations with CFOs and HR leaders, it’s clear they’re feeling increasing pressure to not just bend the cost curve, but reduce total spend. With these new solutions, capabilities and partnerships, we’re giving employers the flexibility to solve their toughest challenges in ways that reflect their own needs, populations and strategies.”

Quantum Health introduced a comprehensive approach to managing pharmacy-driven costs across both medical and pharmacy benefits. This model incorporates expertise from Aradigm for cell and gene therapy management and Scripta Insights for prescription navigation. Through its partnership with Aradigm, Quantum Health aims to transform unpredictable multi-million-dollar claims into more predictable spending using a risk-pooled model focused on clinical appropriateness.

Additionally, the company now offers an integrated pharmacy navigation solution powered by Scripta Insights that delivers transparency and decision support for over 17,000 medications. This unified approach is designed to guide members toward lower-cost options while maintaining clinical appropriateness.

Virtual primary care was also featured as part of Quantum Health’s offerings through CirrusMD’s physician-led model that allows members immediate access to doctors without scheduling or triage delays. The company said this approach helps prevent delayed care and reduces downstream costs by making primary care universally accessible.

The inclusion of Centers of Excellence within navigation solutions connects members with top-performing providers early in their healthcare journey. Jen McClain from Hertz said: “At Hertz, we’ve seen that when you make care simpler and more connected employees engage earlier make better decisions and ultimately drive better outcomes.” Crystal Meyer from Ameritas added: “We’ve encouraged our associates to use Quantum Health as their advocate because there’s a strong focus on preventative care and early detection… That approach combined with removing barriers to care has helped us manage cases.”
