Houston home prices fall in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Houston fell by $134,500 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 12 homes sold, with a median sale price of $75,000 - a 64.2% decrease over the $209,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Houston in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Houston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $453, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
