Take It Easy secured a victory in the $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) series championship for 3-year-old trotting fillies at Bally’s Dover on Monday, December 15. The horse, driven by Ross Wolfenden, had previously finished second to Kat’s Fancy in preliminary rounds but managed to clinch the win with a strategic move in the final yards.

Starting from post 4, Take It Easy initially challenged the favored Kat’s Fancy, driven by Cody Poliseno, before settling into a pocket position. The race saw splits of :28.1, :58.3, and 1:28.1 as Saints Design applied pressure from the outside. In the final stretch, Take It Easy surged ahead to win by a neck with a personal best time of 1:57.3.

Trainer Les Givens oversees Take It Easy for Nanticoke Racing Inc., along with breeders James Magno and Joseph Fonte. The filly has now won three races and earned $109,853 in her career. As a co-second choice at odds of 6-1, she returned $14.80 on a winning bet.

The DSBF championship continues with a race for 3-year-old male trotters scheduled for Tuesday, December 16 at Bally’s Dover as part of a 15-race card starting at 4:30 p.m.
