Thiskissformaryell continued his impressive form in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) series, winning the second of two $20,000 first-round divisions for 2-year-old male trotters at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday, November 11. Driven by Jim Morand, Thiskissformaryell took an early lead from post 7, with Prime Yield, driven by Art Stafford Jr., following closely behind. The gelding increased his advantage steadily and finished the mile in 2:01.

Les Givens trains Thiskissformaryell, who has now won five times. He is owned by Nanticoke Racing, James Magno, and Joseph Fonte. The horse was favored to win and paid $3.80.

In the first division, Topflight Champion recovered from an early mistake to secure a win with trainer/driver Eddie Dennis. The colt moved from sixth to first up the backstretch and won by 9-1/2 lengths in 2:02.1 over Wings Of Steel and Sunny Blue Rock. Topflight Champion is trained for E & K Stable and Robert Nibblett Jr., paying $3.80 for the victory.

The next round of the DSBF series will occur on Tuesday, November 18. The top eight point earners will compete in a $110,000 final on November 25.
