Following a successful series at Harrington Raceway in October, Thiskissformaryell secured another sweep in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) series for 2-year-old male trotters. The race took place on Tuesday, November 25, at Bally’s Dover, where Thiskissformaryell matched his career-best time of 1:58.4 to win the $110,000 championship.

Driver Jim Morand initially allowed Swee’pea, driven by Corey Callahan, to take the lead after a fast start from post position eight. However, Thiskissformaryell soon regained control and maintained his lead through the middle segments of :59 and 1:29. He fended off a challenge from Swee’pea after the final turn to win by 2-3/4 lengths. Money Manager, with Ross Wolfenden driving, finished third.

Les Givens trains Thiskissformaryell for Nanticoke Racing and breeders James Magno and Joseph Fonte. The horse has won seven times and earned $164,516 from 12 starts. As the even-money favorite, he paid $4 to win.

In the $20,000 DSBF consolation race for rookie male trotters, Cosmic Flash emerged victorious under driver Corey Callahan. The horse overtook competitors with one circuit remaining and finished 1-3/4 lengths ahead of Prime Yield. Cosmic Flash is trained by Ross Shand and marked his first win out of five starts.

The DSBF championship events for 2-year-olds will conclude on Wednesday, November 26. The program includes the $110,000 Ramona Hubbard for pacing fillies as part of a 15-race card at Bally’s Dover. The event is highlighted by the Grade 2 Progress Pace with a first post time set for 4:30 p.m.
