Tuis Star achieved her fourth consecutive victory in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) series for 2-year-old trotting fillies. The race took place on Monday, November 10, at Bally’s Dover. Tuis Star, driven by Corey Callahan, dominated her $20,000 first-round division by defeating Suburban Lady by 11-3/4 lengths.

The race began with Tuis Star overtaking Dancing Willow, driven by Jason Green, during a :30.4 opening quarter. After gaining control, Tuis Star maintained a significant lead as Dancing Willow broke stride heading to the half-mile mark of 1:01.4. This allowed Suburban Lady, with Troy Beyer at the reins, to move into second place.

Trainer David Wiest co-owns Tuis Star with Don Wiest and Edward Kimmel. The filly has now increased her career earnings to $88,120 after also winning the October DSBF series at Harrington Raceway.

In another division of the race series, Emerys Angel and driver Art Stafford Jr. overcame favorite Wolfpack One on the far turn and won by 4-1/2 lengths in a time of 2:01.4. Trainer Stacy Johnson-Stafford owns Emerys Angel along with Wyatt Starkey.

The next round for rookie trotting fillies is scheduled for Monday, November 17. The top eight point earners from both preliminary rounds will compete in a $110,000 final on November 24.
