Julianne E. Murray, U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, announced that Donnie Taylor has been sentenced to 144 months in prison for his involvement in an interstate kidnapping. The sentence was handed down by Judge Richard G. Andrews on July 11, 2025.

Court documents reveal that on October 17, 2022, Taylor conspired with a juvenile and Kyaire Finch to lure a victim to a parking lot in New Castle under false pretenses. The victim was assaulted and robbed before being taken across state lines to Pennsylvania.

In Pennsylvania, Taylor and his accomplices committed further crimes, including home invasion and assault. After fleeing back to Delaware, Taylor continued his crime spree by assaulting an elderly woman and stealing her vehicle to escape to Georgia.

Taylor’s actions led to a high-speed chase with Georgia State Police on October 20, 2022, resulting in his arrest after attempting to flee on foot.

U.S. Attorney Murray commented on the case: “This was a disturbing case that began with deception and ended in brutality… Our communities are safer because of their dedication.”

FBI Baltimore Acting Special Agent Amanda M. Koldjeski stated: “Donnie Taylor’s dangerous and violent crime spree spread through multiple states for several days… This sentence should serve as a message…”

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kevin P. Pierce and Carly A. Hudson with investigations conducted by various law enforcement agencies from Delaware to Georgia.

Further information is available on the website of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Delaware or via PACER using Case No. 1:23-CR-60.
