CITY OF SEAFORD: City of Seaford Intends To Apply For 2020 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)

City of Seaford issued the following announcement on Aug. 4

Public notice is hereby given that the City of Seaford will be submitting an application for funding for the 2020 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) to the U.S. Department of Justice.  The JAG program is the primary provider of Federal criminal justice funding for eligible state and local jurisdictions to support a wide range of crime prevention and intervention activities based on local needs and conditions.  This solicitation is for a disparate of Sussex County agencies, with recommended allocations of $11,390.00 to the City of Seaford.

Projected use of funds for the City’s JAG application will be for the purchase of 3 computers and monitors, 1 projector, ASP baton training bag and baton, 15 riot helmets, and uniform shirts for the Seaford Police Department.   Programmatic and budgetary details will be outlined in the grant application.
