City of Harrington recently issued the following announcement.

here is currently a vacancy in the position of Mayor. Any residents that would like to fill the seat are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to the Harrington City Council c/o the Clerk of Council at kblanchies@cityofharrington.com or at Harrington City Hall, 106 Dorman Street.

Qualifications for office (per Section 5.2 of the Charter):

• At least 18 years old
• No convictions of a felony or crime of moral turpitude
• Resident of the City of Harrington
• A U.S. citizen
• Registered to vote
