U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is calling out Attorney General William Barr for his refusal to take up a deeper investigation into Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, is facing a tax fraud case in Delaware.
Today, Barr announced he would not be investigating the Biden case.
“To this point, I have not seen a reason to appoint a special counsel and I have no plan to do so before I leave,” Barr told reporters today.
Barr is leaving the AG job as of Dec. 23.
Graham suggested the DOJ examine the president-elect’s son’s business dealings with foreighn nations.
“With all due respect to Attorney General Barr: My concern is the scope of the Delaware investigation is limited to tax fraud and will not be a thorough review of Hunter Biden’s extensive business dealings with foreign nations,” Graham said on Twitter.
Hunter Biden said in a statement he was unaware of the tax fraud case until its announcement.
“The question for the country is: to what extent did Hunter Biden and his family have problematic business dealings with China, Russia, and other nations which could impact the Biden administration’s foreign policy?” Graham said in another tweet.
